General

What does Salyx RCM do?

Salyx RCM is a US medical billing and revenue cycle management company. We handle claim submission, payment posting, denial management, A/R follow-up and related work for DME suppliers and practices in 15+ specialties. See our claim submission and A/R and denial management services.

Which specialties do you work with?

DME is our core focus, including CPAP, oxygen, CGM, power mobility and ventilators. We also bill for sleep labs, home health, hospice, infusion, laboratory, behavioral health, ENT, vision, dental and multi-specialty practices.

Do you work with small practices and suppliers?

Yes. We work with solo providers and small DME suppliers as well as larger groups, and we size the scope to your claim volume.

Which payers do you bill?

We bill Medicare (including DME MACs), state Medicaid programs and commercial payers. Each has its own rules, and we follow the requirements for the payers on your account.

How do you report on results?

You get regular reports on collections, denials and A/R aging, plus a direct contact for questions. See our MIS and financial reporting service.

Pricing and Quotes

How much does medical billing with Salyx RCM cost?

We quote after a free billing audit, based on your specialty, claim volume and payer mix. There is no one-size price list. See how our pricing works.

Which pricing models do you offer?

Options include a dedicated FTE biller, a percentage of collections, and per-claim or specialty-based pricing. We recommend a model after reviewing your data.

Are there hidden fees?

Everything in scope is listed in your written quote before work begins. If your needs change, we discuss it with you first.

Is the billing audit really free?

Yes. The free billing audit reviews recent claims, denials and A/R, and there is no obligation to sign up afterward.

DME and CPAP Billing

Do you handle capped rental billing?

Yes. We track rental months and apply the right modifiers (RR with KH, KI or KJ) through the 13-month capped rental period, and we watch for breaks in service and same-or-similar conflicts.

What do you need to bill a CPAP claim?

Typically a valid standard written order, the qualifying sleep test, the treating practitioner's notes and proof of delivery. For Medicare coverage beyond the first three months, the patient must also meet adherence (at least 4 hours per night on 70% of nights in a 30-day period) and have a re-evaluation between day 31 and day 91. See CPAP billing.

Can you help with same-or-similar denials?

Yes. We check eligibility and same-or-similar history before delivery when possible, and work denials that come back. Read our same-or-similar case study.

Do you bill oxygen and other respiratory equipment?

Yes, including oxygen, ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP supplies. See oxygen billing and ventilator billing.

Do you handle prior authorization for DME?

Yes. We prepare and track prior authorization requests for items that need them, such as many power mobility devices. See power mobility billing and intake.

Onboarding

How long does onboarding take?

Most practices go live typically within weeks. Timing depends on software access, payer enrollments and the open A/R we take over.

Do I need to change my software?

No. We usually work inside the billing system or EHR you already use. See our technology page.

What happens to claims my old biller already sent?

We review open claims and aging A/R at handoff and follow up on unpaid balances so nothing is left behind.

Can you help with credentialing as part of onboarding?

Yes. Our credentialing team handles payer enrollment and revalidation so claims are not held up.

Security and Compliance

Is my patient data secure?

Our team follows HIPAA requirements, and Salyx RCM is ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified. Read more on our security and compliance page.

Will you sign a Business Associate Agreement?

Yes. We sign a BAA before we access any protected health information.

Who on your team can see my data?

Access is limited to the staff assigned to your account.

Services

Can I outsource only part of my billing?

Yes. Some practices hand us just denials and A/R, or just payment posting, and keep the rest in-house.

Do you offer medical coding?

Yes. Our coding team reviews documentation and assigns codes for your claims. See medical coding.

Do you post payments and reconcile ERAs?

Yes. We post ERA and paper payments and flag underpayments and denials. See payment posting.

Do you handle patient statements and collections?

Yes. See patient collection.
